Emergency

Emergency numbers and urgent signs

In a medical emergency in Iran, call 115. Save these numbers before you need them.

Call 115 for

  • Chest pain or pressure, especially spreading to the arm, jaw or back
  • Signs of stroke: face drooping, arm weakness, slurred speech
  • Severe difficulty breathing
  • Severe bleeding
  • Fainting or unconsciousness
  • A seizure
  • A severe allergic reaction with swelling of the face or throat
  • A serious burn, poisoning or a serious injury

While you wait

  • Stay calm and stay with the person.
  • Give the dispatcher the exact address, what happened, and whether the person is awake and breathing.
  • Follow the dispatcher's instructions.
  • Unlock the door and, if you can, send someone to meet the ambulance.

Not sure whether it's an emergency? It is always reasonable to call 115 and ask. For problems that aren't urgent, see when to get help.
